Twenty Four cars of all sorts, shapes and sizes set off on the 4th Phuket Invitational Car Rally after check in and complementary Tea and Coffee from the start sponsor The Green Man on a route that was to take them along the West Coast of Phuket to the sponsored lunch halt at Dewa Resort, mini burgers were the order of the day and very good they were as everyone sat under the trees and enjoyed a short rest.
After lunch it was off again and for the first time a short expedition off the Island before returning to the car driving test that was kindly sponsored by Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Club. The car park facility along with everything else is second to none and an “interesting” hour passed as drivers slalomed, reversed, parked and slalomed some more with the times being carefully monitored by Valentine Guytonbeck.
The final leg took everyone back to finish at the Dinner Host Sponsor Bliss Beach Club where a 3 course dinner, complementary soft drinks and entertainment was provided leading up to the days finale the results and Prize Giving.
